Hi @Ramwhite , Welcome to Spectrum!

Generally, if the landline rings only once, it means that the spam/telemarketing/robocall protection, built into Spectrum Voice phone service, and turned on by default is screening the call for legitimacy. This technology is called Call Guard and has three levels of spam guard protection that can be turned on and adjusted in My Account Voice (Phone) settings.

It is recommend to let your phone ring at least once to screen the call. Pick up after the second ring or later.
