This week i was unable to access my legacy twc (roadrunner) account on my iphone. I am also no longer able to access any of the other twc email accounts that my family has set up. What needs to be done to update the account settings?

Having a very similar issue with one rr.com account. I can’t access on Outlook.com nor iOS despite being able to for twenty years prior. No one wants to help. Spectrum says they only care if you can get to their webmail.net. Apple says they don’t support third parties and I can’t get hold of Microsoft- the webpage says to sign in using IMAP. But the same settings as my other account within the family do not work now. It says the “The connection to the incoming (IMAP) server was dropped. Please check the incoming (IMAP) server settings and try again.” This started when a Spectrum employee deleted my accounts as we were trying to transfer a phone number.

Hello! I do apologize for the issues with our email service. We have recently moved everyone over to a singular way of accessing your email. You would need to go to our website here and login with your full email address and it's password not your normal user ID for the online account. Once you do that on the left side of the screen is a link for check email it will then take you to your email.

For access to your email using third party clients you just need to make sure that you are using the correct information. Please try to put the outgoing port as 587. The incoming port should be 110. The incoming mail server Account Name has to have the full email address. The outgoing server requires authentication box has to be checked. Under settings you can check user the same settings as incoming mail server.

If this does not work we would not have much else that we can do as we do not have access to troubleshoot third party clients as they are not our software. If you can access the email from our website then that is generally all we can do as that is how it is designed to work.

Well Tyleen, for 19 years you allowed Outlook and other "third party" emails just like every NORMAL email provider IN AMERICA. Your changes reversed the level of service you have provided and hiding behind "it's not my job" is despicable.

    Hey there @scottdkoenig!

Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for the frustrations. As indicated above, for access to your email using third party clients you just need to make sure that you are using the correct information. Please also try to put the outgoing port as 587. The incoming port should be 110. The incoming mail server Account Name has to have the full email address. The outgoing server requires authentication box has to be checked. Under settings you can check user the same settings as incoming mail server. If all is correct and this still does not allow you access, you will need to reach out to Outlook directly as they are a third-party server, and we are unable to troubleshoot their product.
