Why, as a streaming customer, Can I not view ABC.COM and other networks?

I am an Amazon Fire Stick user. Why does Spectrum DELIBERATELY BLOCK ABC.com and other network URLs when trying to stream directly thru the Firestick Web Browser? I understand the Spectrum App itself cannot provide this service on the Firestick because your app is deliberately made incompatible to Firestick. However, I should be able to step outside of the app and go direct to Internet and stream ABC.COM and each time I attempt this Spectrum deliberately blocks it. I can find nothing on this particular subject in your archives. Is this a question I should be posing to FCC?

    Welcome!

This issue is probably due to the fact that Spectrum Streaming Services are designed and supported for the most popular web browsers like Google Chrome and browsers based on Chromium technologies such as Microsoft Edge and Brave. Still popular browsers like Firefox should work, I use Firefox and Brave, but Spectrum Streaming Services are categorized by the following criterion: (There may be more, but these are the main conditions:)

1.) The customer must subscribe to the base channel or service plan to be able to stream the content.

2.) The streaming content must be cleared by the channel owners of the content with consent granted to Spectrum to broadcast the content.

3.) Spectrum must also be given permission by the owners of the hardware on which to broadcast their content. For example. The hardware and software vendors have to give permission to Spectrum for Spectrum devices to use their app, and transmit the programs on their services.

What this means is that it's not Spectrum blocking content on an Amazon Fire Stick. It's either the programmers, or Amazon (or both) who have not given Spectrum permission to transmit their programs through the firestick. You should be forwarding feedback like this to Amazon, ABC, and the other networks that you can't get on your firestick devices saying, "Please reach an agreement with Spectrum so that I can watch your programs through my firestick."

For now you would need to do the following:

1.) Subscribe to the appropriate channels or packages to stream

2.) Get a XUMO streaming box, optional Cloud DVR, regular Spectrum cable box, or optional Spectrum DVR to watch that content, or log into your account through Spectrum.net

3.) Or after doing #1, or maybe #2, you can also watch those shows through the Spectrum app on such devices as Samsung Smart TV's and Apple TV's.
