Is This Email Legit About Spectrum Security Code Being Removed From Billing Statements?

Is the following email message legit regarding Spectrum Billing Statements? Thank you!

PS. Hovering over the links show a strange URL in the left hand side of the browser. I will report this as Spam if this is not legit. (Hovering over the links do not show a Spectrum.net or a Spectrum.com domain.) Please advise. Thank you!

    Yes, it is legit. This is a new business policy that will take effect next month. The purpose to add a level of security to protect customers and their personal and account information.

    We are notifying customers using their preferred communication methods. The links on email or text will guide you to where you can locate the information in your online account.

    You can access the security code on the My Spectrum App by following these steps:

    • Sign in
    • Select More
    • Select Settings
    • Select Sign in & Security
    • See Security Code (select to customize)
