Blocking Spam Emails

Using's Road Runner (Spectrum) Webmail on a MacBook Pro. When I block unwanted email on Apple's Mail app by clicking on the sender address, then clicking on the check mark next to that address and selecting 'Block Sender' from the drop down menu, the sender isn't really blocked. Only that particular address is blocked. Is there a better way to manage this directly on the Webmail site so that these messages won't appear in my inbox?

Hello @SueM;
Welcome to the Community Forums. The block sender function will block any future emails that exactly match the email address in that message. It will not remove any emails that have already arrived in your mailbox or if the sender alters their email address slightly. The best option to remove Spam is to select the mark as spam option. This will send a message to our security team to research the message. Once it has been determined to be a spam message, they will include it in our Spam filtering systems.

Hello and welcome to the Spectrum community!
I do apologize but I am not fully understanding. When you click "block sender" it is solely going to block that specific email address that is in that email. On our online site there are ways to block based on keyword or specific email address.
You would need to login to the website here and login using your full email address and it's password. Then on the left side of the screen you'll see check email. Then from there you can adjust the settings.

Hey Tyleen!
Okay gotta another question! So looking at emails in the inbox… There's an email sender I want to block (add to the list of blocked senders). I click on the check mark next to the sender's name and their entire email address is visible. My question… Having 2 windows open (Apple's Mail app & Spectrum Webmail's Rules) Is there a way to COPY the domain part of the address (everything after the @ sign) and then PASTE that into the 'add a blocked sender' box. In other words, by doing this, one would be able block ALL individuals using that particular domain instead of blocking each individual.
What I am currently doing is expanding the sender's address, clicking on 'block contact' in the drop down menu. But if a company uses hundreds of employees to send these annoying messages, you'd have to block each and every one of them. In the world of AI, there must be an easier way!
Thanks so much for any help you could provide.

You can block by domain with our email. If you go into the Settings option and then Filters & Blocked Senders, just below the filters there will be a Blocked Senders option. You can enter the domain part of the email in the text box and press the Add button and it will add the entire domain to your blocked list rather than just the individual.

Renee! Is there an easier way to do this instead of typing this in the box each time? I get lots of these annoying emails and I'd be at this all day long. Spectrum needs to make this process more efficient! Must be some sort of way to use AI for this! 😉

I have clicked on the block sender option on an email and when I update, I receive a message "Warning: Blocked sender already exists". So why did I still receive an email from that sender?
