On-Demand Clock Issues with and without Commercials

Ever since I first started with Spectrum (a couple years ago), my On-Demand streaming of any program with commercials has had issues. It's as though the system is tracking two clocks — one with commercials and one without — but is using them interchangeably. For example, If I've watched 3 minutes of a program, leave the replay, and then restart it, there's no problem because there were no commercials yet. However, if I've watched 30 minutes including 5 minutes of commercials, leave, and return, the system will restart at 30 minutes into the program EXCLUDING commercials (i.e. 5 minutes later in the program). This error gets bigger and bigger the farther into the program you get, to the point where, if you pause in the last 10 minutes of your program, the system can't give you a start point to come back to (because it's looking for a timestamp after the program has finished), so your only recourse is to start the program again at the beginning and pray there are no restrictions on fast forwarding — which, unfortunately, there often are.
