Consistanat service outage, anyone with this issue?

why is it atleast once a day nearly every day of the week there is a service outage in the area? Typically 5to 6 days a week there is some type of interruption.
Sometimes it is multiple times in one day. Spectrum says we are working to resolve the outage in your area. Is that so spectrum. Where are the service techs resolving this issue because they are not in the area. When they do come out the answer is replace the drop to your house. Fine and dandy the drop gets replaced every three years by a tech. Question is how often does the supply lines at the power poles get replaced? How about the equipment. The “pedalstool” out front with the hardware in it how often does it get replaced. I always get the same response wire ends are bad they need replaced at your modem. well it’s about time you all start upgrading your wiring and equipment. So we can use the service we pay for.
rant over.
Do better Spectrum. Do better.

Hello @Tmao!
Welcome to our community page. We apologize for the frustrations this has caused and would be more than happy to investigate this further. I was able to access your account based on the email you've provided via the registration process and submit a credit request for this on your behalf. I can confirm that there is a node outage happening in the area and our field team is dispatched and working towards resolution as quickly as possible. While I understand you may not see any Spectrum vehicles in your neighborhood, most nodes cover a wide mile radius. Having said that, the node that you may be connected to may not be in your vicinity. Please understand that most interruptions are caused by factors beyond our control, such as power outages, wildlife damage, weather-related issues, construction/digging, and more. We are committed to detecting and resolving any issues as quickly as possible.

Welcome Tma!
If the outages are between midnight to 6am that is Spectrum's overnight update/maintenance schedule. For several years they have been updating nodes to the Doc Sis 3.1 modems and split-end technology. If the service problems are outside of this time-frame, something is wrong.
When did this start? Have you had a recent tech visit? Is it just Internet or other services that go down?

What is the state of the wiring through your home?
I've seen a lot of issues in the walls in the past... things can be fine at the point of demarcation and it goes to pot the last 75 feet somewhere in the building.
If the home is old enough to have old school RG59 coax (analog TV days), definately want to switch up to RG6 with Quad Shielding. Can cut signal/power loss by nearly half on longer runs.

About eight years ago,
Our DVR was not recording consistently. Missed recordings and pixilation. Tech came out and found our main drop was over thirty years old! He replaced several lines, including the drop and that solved our issues. If you live in a really old home (50's-70's) with service issues, It may come to a house re-wiring. Inside and outside wiring can both be an issue.
Many suburban and country infrastructures and some cities are so old that they just can't handle modern technology. I have heard of people paying for 300mb Internet and they barely get 20mb down. I only get 50mb, but it is a very reliable 50 and seems faster than that, Here are so many inside and outside variables here. Sometimes you have to look deep within the node to find the culprit. Sometimes they do all they can and you have to live with slower speeds because your home was built in the 50's. Sometimes you rent an apartment or are part of a complex, and building management refuses to let the service provider come in and upgrade wiring. I have seen all of these examples in my forty years of cable services. They try to get it up to at least consistent and reliable, which is the main focal point.
