ISP is blocking a specific app

Posts: 1 Newcomer

I’m having an issue running a gaming app. The game fails to connect to the updates server via its launcher. However when using a mobile hotspot as an internet source it connects just fine. That eliminates antivirus/firewall on the computer. It also connects fine using the ISP at my work. Any ideas other than a paid VPN?

    Hello @Jwit83;

    Welcome to the Community Forums. I can understand the frustration with trying to use the gaming app. I analyzed your modem and I am showing that your modem has a history of poor cable signals. When the cable signals are poor, your internet may not have a quality connection for the gaming app to work correctly. Can you unplug the power and unscrew the cable line to the modem? Leave them unplugged for a minute. When you connect the cable line, make sure it is screwed in tightly. This might fix the cable signal problem I am seeing. If it does not fix the issue then I would recommend we get a technician out to investigate the cable signal problem.
