Roadrunner email no longer working
My roadrunner email suddenly stopped functioning starting 2/20/2024. No warning, no email advising a migration to a different email server.
This is really sloppy and inconsiderate. A lot of planning goes into email migration. I have to update vender accounts, personal accounts, banks ect ect. I wish I had some notice about this. Spectrum could have sent an email or sent a text. What is going on at Spectrum?? I never had this nonsense from Time Warner.
Any way to resolve this with my old email??

Hello @Cker1456;
Welcome to the Community Forums. I do apologize that our email stopped working all of a sudden. I reviewed your account and was able to confirm that a notification was sent to your account back in September about the change. I do apologize that you did not receive the notification. When an email has been cleared from the system then you will be able to add the email account again. You can log into the
with the master email account. You can add the email back onto your account as long as it is still available.0 -
I still have the old roadrunner on my Iphone, but can't create it on my laptop. I have tried every password that I used and get a "login failed" message. It's really important that I get this information back so I can make changes with the new email address.
BTW I don't recall ever receiving the change notice in September. Is it possible to have this resent to me at carl_Kerckhoff@spectrum.net?? Or alternatively is it in your billing statement in September?
Thank you,
CK

Just a few questions What is spectrum's expectation for client email?? Your are new charging close to $90 for internet service. I paid half of that with Time Warner and received email service as well. Spectrum moderators refer to email service as a "courtesy" which makes me think that spectrum is viewing email service as optional. Is this true?
If true, is it your expectation that customers should find their own email providers such as Google or some other type of email service.
Please give me some guidance.

The email is a complimentary service that requires an active internet subscription. There is no separate fee for email, and if the account is closed or the internet subscription is cancelled, then access to email ends.
The email service is definitely optional and we do not require customers to use it. There is no expectation as to if customers use our email service or another service.

But it is your responsibility to maintain e-mail history especially when migrating customers to a new email service. As of today I don't have access to my old e-mail. I was never notified until you shut it down.
In my opinion Spectrum didn't do good job keeping customers informed about this process.

I definitely understand the frustration. If the email was just moved to accessing it differently then the emails should still be there. If the email account was deleted for other reasons then any emails that were there would have been deleted.
