Paramount Plus

I have had the Paramount Plus App for 3 years. The last 2-3 months it is switching me between two local live channels, one is out of my area (southern part of the state) including the IP address assigned which is listed as (NJ). To make a long story short. I have tried to educate myself after having no luck getting a static IP address from Spectrum who only supplies that to business customers. The Paramount Plus IP address is different than my Roku Stick. This becomes very confusing to me. Every App with the exception of Paramount is the true IP address that I have always had. Spectrum offered a new modem, but from everything that I have read, it's the router which needs the static IP address. I am renting their router which allows me no control. My Question, can I purchase and set up my own router to a static IP address? As I previously said, it is getting confusion to me since everything I check, phone, tv, lap top, Roku and all apps within Roku except Paramount Plus have the same IP address. I paid for my Paramount Plus a year in advance and they were one of the few ways I can get locals outside of Spectrum. Their competitor offers the Static IP service, but I have always been happy with Spectrum. Thank you in advance.

If you have none other than the "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME" plan and are running the app on a Roku, then try this:
🔗
↳ " … if you go in and update your ZIP code in Roku of what you want the zip code to be Paramount plus will change it I know because I just did it … "Edit: Otherwise just curious how you are finding the IP address of the Roku versus how you are finding it for the app. If they don't both begin with e.g. 192.168. then i would guess that the app has a way of reflecting your one and only ISP public IP address which you would presumably be able to confirm via e.g. 🔗
, and the app-wise geolocation consequences of which you would hopefully be able to resolve via the Roku ZIP setting.0 -

Hello @sandsj2
Welcome to our community! If you are trying to download the Paramount Plus app on a smart TV you would need to download the app from the app store on the TV. If you don't have a smart TV, you would need something like a Roku, Xumo, or Apple TV in order to download the app to that device and watch on the TV.
