Audio not in sync while streaming on demand

Want to add my frustration to this topic. I too only have issues with SPECTRUM app when viewing on demand shows. When it goes to a commercial it ALWAYS comes back to the show with audio out of sync. NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OTHER APP. I also have Spectrum internet. So the problem which seems to have been happening for awhile is SPECTRUM. Please fix it. Its really annoying. Yes there are workarounds but to ALWAYS have to do a workaround after a commercial in a show is absolutely ridiculous!!

Hello @Carol4398;
Welcome to the Community Forums. I can understand the frustration with streaming with our app. I reviewed the logs of our app and it is showing that the internet connection with the app has been poor. I analyzed your modem and it is online with no signal problems at this time. I logged into the Spectrum router and optimized the settings on the router to see if it helps with the quality. I would also recommend you reset the modem to see if it helps with stabilizing your internet connection. You can reset it by unplugging the power to the modem for a minute.

The sync problem may be caused by a computer audio setting. This problem seems to occur if you have the audio system setting "Allow hardware acceleration of audio with this device" check marked in the sound app. I discovered this as causing sync problems in Windows 10. Sync does not appear to be an issue on my Windows 11 computer. To check for this issue on Windows 10 (and probably earlier versions) open control panel and select the "Sound" app. A window will pop up, "Speakers / Headphones" should be highlighted if not click on it to select it. At the bottom right-hand corner click on "Properties", another window will open. At the top click on the "Advanced" tab. At the bottom of the window uncheck the Hardware Acceleration option. Click OK, window will close, click OK and the main window will close. Give it a try to see if this corrects syncing.
