Unable to get download speed to router

When running a speed test from the My Spectrum app, I do not get the download speed to my router.  I get only the speed to my device. Why not?

I have modem model ES2251 and router model SBE1V1K. And I run the test from an iPhone 14.

    Hey there @Jcksfo!

Thank you for your question and welcome to our community page. We apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced in trying to test the speeds to your device and we'd be glad to help! In an effort to assist you further, can you possibly provide a little more detail pertaining to this. For instance, does the speed test option not come up for you, or are you getting an error message when trying to perform a speed test?

Because you are using a mobile device to run the speed test, the results will only show the speed to the device over WiFi. To get a more accurate reading of the true speed being delivered, you would need to run a test from a hardwired device, such as a laptop, that is connected directly to the modem. Otherwise, our diagnostics show that the 1Gbps (1000 Mbps) speeds are being delivered.
