Can’t cast - need to enable UPnP

I couldn’t cast and it was only until I read a post about enabling UPnP on the router that it was fixed. I spoke to a support agent a few months back on this and again today as well as a manager. Why isn’t this auto enabled and why doesn’t support know that enabling this toggle on the router settings in the my spectrum app allows devices to talk to each other?

I'm sorry for the trouble casting. UPNP is disabled by default as it can lead to security vulnerabilities and is not necessary for most modern devices. If needed it can be enabled under the routers advanced settings in the My Spectrum app. I've checked yours and it looks like it is turned on now, did that resolve your issue?

It did. I was definitely upset for awhile though because tech support didn’t even offer it as a suggestion.
