How to fix the stability problem

Posts: 1 Newcomer

Hi, my internet keeps disconnecting randomly,It has happened several times. After restarting the router and modem, sometimes the internet recovers in minutes, sometimes the problem persists for a long while. It suddenly broke down again for maybe 20 minutes this afternoon and then reconnected automatically. I took online courses every day so the stability is very important for me. Could you check what the problem is and let me know how to fix it. Thank you.

    Hello @Jacob_G777;

    Welcome to the Community Forums. I can understand the frustration of the internet not being stable for your job. I analyzed your modem and it has been online stable for the last week. I am also not seeing any history of poor cable signals on the modem. I did see that the router itself had a short offline period today but I am not seeing any history prior to today. This could have happened if you had the router disconnected for a while today. The issue could be related to the WIFI itself. There can be WIFI signal conflicts that can occur with other WIFI providing devices near to you. I optimized the WIFI network on the router which can help with this. It would also be helpful if you can test a device using a wired ethernet connection to see if it goes down at the same time as the WIFI devices.
