UpgradeTV?

I currently have a 65” 1080p Samsung TV that is about 13 years old. It still works great and the picture is good as well.
Now that the tariffs are going to kick in, I’m thinking about upgrading to 4K before prices go up.
I’m using Spectrum via the newest Apple TV box, and I’m wondering if there would be a visible improvement in the visual experience if I went 4K, given that I’ve read that Spectrum doesn’t have too many 4K options.
Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to the forums!
Spectrum has a nice article about 4K TV and programing. Search Google for 4K TV Spectrum. One of the first sites will be from Spectrum.com "Understanding 4K Ultra HD Technology." (The link won't post here.) Read that, Broadcast TV doesn't have it yet, and a lot of the boxes don't The new XUMO streaming box does for the apps. 4K won't matter if the programs that you are watching aren't 4K. Is the TV that you have now a Smart TV?

Yes, it’s a smart TV, but I don’t use its features, as I run everything through the box. I’ll look into the article. Do the Apple TV box or newer TVs do any upscaling that make a difference?

Hi @Atomx6669 ,
I am not familiar with Apple TV's. Just have a Samsung a little yes than a year old. It's great! I also run everything through the cable box. An Arris 210 DVR.
