I recently signed up with Spectrum and brought 3 mobile lines with me. I was quoted (and I have confirmation email) that I would get home internet for $40 for 2 years, 1 gig service.i would have to get a new modem and router. Before I could pick up the gear, I received a notice my order was cancelled. I called the help line and was told by the rep that my order was cancelled but he could not explain who cancelled the order. He put me on hold for a while and came back and said my order was still good and I could pick up the new equipment and I would receive the promotional offer as quoted. Guess what, when I got the new equipment my month bill was still the previous amount of $95. Spent an hour on the phone to be told, the only solution was to sign up for a new router and the cost would be $50 a month, for one year. Then went to a store and was told my promotional deal was cancelled, but couldn’t tell who cancelled it. That is why I was still being billed $95. The manager got involved and reduced it to $50 per month for 2years. Refused to honor the previous order, even when I,showed the confirmation email for 2 years 1 gig service $40 a month,spectrum is a rip off,I should never have changed

    All i can figure is that the original offer was for new service subscribers rather than existing ones for which "I recently signed up with Spectrum" is consistent with but "my month bill was still the previous amount of $95" isn't. In any case, 50 beans a month for Gig Internet and Advanced Home WiFi is far from a "rip off" in my book but that's just me. I'm an unfrozen caveman.
