Can I Exchange Hitron EN2251 modem for a Humax HGD310 at local Spectrum Store?
I am an individual non-professional day trader, but not full-time since I'm retired and do it as a hobby so to speak. My Spectrum 500 mbps service throughput is adequate for my real-time market data streams but the latency is elevated and causes lag at the most inopportune times.
I would like to be re-assigned a modem with the Broadcom chipset because the Hitron EN2251 I received as new customer when signing up earlier this yr has the high latency and buffer bloat issues common to it's Intel Puma chipset.
Latency spikes and generally elevated latency negatively affect my Spectrum broadband experience when trading and also when participating in educational activities like webinars.
How can I specifically receive a Humax HGD310, Ubee E31U2V1, or Technicolor E31T2V1 modem from my local Spectrum Store on exchange, if I bring in the Hitron EN2251? The three alternative modems each have the Broadcom chipset.
Thanks very much for providing quality internet service at a good price point,I just need a better modem.

Good evening @Ripsaw and Welcome to our Community Forums,
Thank you for reaching out to us about swapping out your modem for a particular one at our office. You can definitely visit our office location and request an exchange, but specific equipment may not be guaranteed. You may also use your own personal modem if you would like. Our office locations can be found at the link provided. If you are interested in purchasing your own modem you will find the information on doing so with the link provided. Please keep in mind that our supplies do vary from location to location and we are unable to guarantee that one of the modems you are wanting will be available. -Lyn

@Ripsaw,
Stores do not have direct contact numbers to provide as they don't handle customer phone calls. A new modem can be sent out, or picked up, but specific model wouldn't be guaranteed in either case. The HGD310 doesn't appear to be equipment we have in use. The other two may be available, but have less capability than the existing modem.1

Is there a way to call the local store? Only number listed is the national toll free. I would like the opportunity to call the local store to see if they have one of the modems I listed, before driving there.
