Removal of $5 auto pay bill credit

I found out this month after my auto pay went through my bill was $5 higher. I was told they no longer offer the $5 auto pay credit and that last months statement disclosed this. Okay but if someone is on auto pay they aren’t checking a bill every month so I don’t see that as proper notification. People are living paycheck check to pay check as it is and now this is just another service with a price increase that customers can do nothing about and no additional services for the additional price. Guess it’s time to shop for a new provider.
