Spectrum Determined My Address Was "Unservicable"
I met with a sales rep, and after checking with his supervisor, assured me they could run fiber to my address. Begin the process of switching over everything - TV, phone, internet. Then I was told to call and reference a number by the construction crew. They told me my address is “unserviceable” and I did not qualify for any services. I am 1800ft from Upward Rd and they told me it would cost $30,000 if I wanted internet access. This is AFTER I had gone through the process of unlocking and paying off my phones through Verizon after speaking with a member of their mobile team and being assured I would be offered $1000 reimbursement for this. They are STILL calling me today trying to get me to switch to their mobile service!
No apology, no credit, no accountability. Spectrum touts their “rural fiber” initiative loud and proud on their website, but they only want to run just enough line to hit whatever quota they need, not for any actual rural customers. Is this common? Have any other rural customers found themselves blindsided by being lied to by members of the Spectrum team? They spent weeks laying miles of fiber in our neighborhood, but somehow the last couple 1000ft to come down our road is the issue.
