Internet issues ALWAYS

I’ve been having nothing but troubles recently and cannot get a direct answer as to why - just agents on the phone who want to pass the issue on to a field tech rather than actually attempt to assist remotely. I recently upgraded to 2/2gb and have been having nothing but issues ever since - I have swapped my modem at the store today per advice given by an associate there while returning my previous router, and my upload speeds are still ABYSMAL. I’ve have spoken with a few neighbors as well who are ALSO experiencing the same upload speed as well, but apparently I need a tech to come because it’s not labeled as an “outage”.

Just at a glance, it looks like something may be mucking up the ability to properly lock OFDM, which may be causing a fallback to the old 3.0 configuration, which was dramatically reduced in capacity when they realigned the channel spectrum to add the OFDM channels.

This definitely calls for technicians on sight... possibly up the poles, down the street... up the street... around the corner--wherever the evidence leads them.

BUT... they need to pick a starting point.

Being As you called in the problem, seems like a reasonable place to start, and work their way back.

Hey @Tylero, welcome to our community! This plan provides 2 Gb/s down and 1 Gb/s up. I ran a speed test from the modem and it's receiving 2.39 Gbps download and 905.97 Mbps upload. Are you testing using a device connected with an ethernet cable? Do you get the same results if you rest a different device?

There's only so much troubleshooting we can do over the phone. If the issue persists after new equipment and if we can't narrow it down to a WiFi or device issue then the next step is to schedule an appointment with a technician. Even if you believe it's a problem in the area this is how it would be looked at.
