Why can’t we add cloud dvr services and keep one dvr set top box service?
We have one dvr set top box with dvr service. I added a Xumo box to another room and I wanted to add cloud dvr to our account for the Xumo. We were told that we can only have one or the other dvr services, not both. Why?

Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community.
There are ways to have both a traditional DVR box and cloud DVR service. The biggest issue that can happen is that if you get both you would only have access to the cloud DVR manager and won't be able to access the remote DVR manager. This means you cannot setup/alter/delete recordings from the cable box remotely and can only do it from the box itself.

You're welcome. Only one can be controlled via the app if you have both services and that would be the cloud DVR service. So if you have both the cable box cannot be controlled remotely.

Thank you? Is it possible to assign the cloud dvr service to a separate admin user and leave the set top dvr service under the primary user account?

Just to be clear, when I add a Xumo box and cDVR to my account the set top DVRs I have will continue to work as long as I perform any programming changes on the box?
