Login using Firefox

For several weeks I have been getting this message when logging into my Spectrum account using Firefox:

This feature is currently unavailable. Please try again from home or contact us for assistance. IDID-4000.

The login works fine using Microsoft Edge. Can this be fixed from the Spectrum end?

    Hello and welcome @JAAdler,

The error you're receiving is due to a security check failure. When you can, please make sure Firefox is version 63 or newer and please clear any history/cache/cookies and attempt login again with this browser.

Welcome to the community, @Patrick93001! Error IDID-4000 means reCAPTCHA has determined it to be bot activity and blocked the transaction from moving forward. I tested access to my login through Firefox version 135.0.1 (64-bit) and was successful. The problem appears to be on the user's end.

Please wait 24 hours before trying to log into the account again. After that period of time, try accessing the account while using a wired ethernet connection to the modem. I would also recommend rebooting the modem, the router, and the PC. As well as clearing any history/cache/cookies for the browser.

    Fast forward to today.
    I'm using Firefox 135.0.1 (64 bit) on Win 10.
I'm getting this error as well; the rep says the Spectrum system is detecting a 'bot'. My system is clean.
It is working with Microsoft Edge (which I don't like).
It works just fine on an old Win 7 computer (less secure, allegedly) with the same anti-virus programs, etc., and the same adblockers…which are turned off for Spectrum. So that's not the issue.

I don't believe the problem is on any user's end.

Found this to be the case using Firefox 135 in private mode.

    Works fine otherwise.
