ARRIS DVR

I have an ARRIS DVR that I like to keep on 24/7 so the audio acts as additional security with the TV off.

Recently, the DVR has started to change to channel 1 during the night. so no audio is playing when I arise. I have to turn the DVR off and back on and enter a channel to make it up.

I captions a setting for automation or power conserving anywhere.

Thanks

Good afternoon @herbs. Welcome to our community. Have you set a power on channel and also made sure power save mode is not enabled

I have not seen a setting option for either of those on this DVR.

    Good Afternoon,

Here's how to set a Power on Channel on Spectrum Guide:

To set a specific channel as your default "power on" channel on Spectrum, you'll need to access the Spectrum Guide settings through your remote control and select the desired channel. This will ensure your Spectrum receiver automatically tunes to that channel when you turn it on.
    Here's how to do it:

    Press Settings on Remote

Navigate to Settings & Support: Use the arrow buttons to highlight "Settings & Support" and press OK/Select,

Go to Preferences: Highlight "Preferences" and press OK/Select.

Select Digital Receiver: Highlight "Digital Receiver" and press OK/Select.

Choose Power On Channel: Highlight "Power On Channel" and press OK/Select.

Select Your Desired Channel: You can choose a specific channel or select "Last Channel" to return to the last viewed channel when powering on.

Confirm: Press OK/Select again to save your new power-on channel setting.

    To Disable Power Save Mode:

To disable Power Save Mode (or Auto Power Down) on a Spectrum cable box, navigate to the Settings menu.

    Select Preferences, then Digital Receiver,

Toggle off both Energy Save Mode and Auto Power Down.

    Here's a more detailed step-by-step guide:

Navigate to Preferences: Use the arrow keys to highlight Settings & Support, then Preferences.

Select Digital Receiver: Go to Digital Receiver.

Disable Energy Save Mode: Find "Energy Save Mode" and toggle it off.

Disable Auto Power Down: Find "Auto Power Down" and toggle it off as well.

Save Changes: Exit the menu to save your changes.

    Satch
