receiver keeps turning on by itself after being turned off

I'm sorry for the unusual behavior of our cable receiver. Does it turn back on immediately, after an amount of time has passed, or at a certain time? Have you tried any troubleshooting, such as manually rebooting the receiver by removing the power cord?

Thanks! It just turns on randomly it won’t stay in power saving mode. I’ve unplugged it many times but still continues to turn on. Now I just leave it unplugged till I need it.

Does it only happen after going into power saving mode, or also when you actually use the power button to turn it off? Can you try a factory reset by holding the reset button down for 5+ seconds while the receiver is powered on?
