When I attach a picture file from my computer to my email and then try to open it, it does not open. I can delete the file but cannot open it.

Thanks, Tom W.

    Hello and welcome @Towiporky1,

To confirm, you're logged into spectrum.net, composing an email, and attempting to view the attachment after you've selected it and attached it to the pending email, like the image below?

I did this. But when I click on the image it will not open.

I understand, if this is the screen you're referring to, the attachment can't be viewed at this point after selecting the attachment from the file selection screen before it. Once sent to a recipient, they can download and view the attachment.

So, I f I understand you, I cannot look at the attachment before sending it out.

You can view it when you're selecting the attachment, but once it's attached, it doesn't open to view before sending.

    What Mo said!

P.S.: It's all Greek to me but i gather that webmail big-timers like Gmail may facilitate contemporaneous draft-phase attachment MIME encoding while others don't until you hit send, in which case the draft attachment hyperlink is essentially a preview of that which should be completely baked once sent. ☘️

Seem to me like Spectrum has diminished their email capabilities. Spectrum should be on par with Gmail. Spectrum email previously had the ability to preview an attachment like a picture before being sent. Why lower the value of your capabilities to customers?
