Security Shield falsely blocking comfiqmfg.com - recategorization request

I am the owner of comfiqmfg.com and a Spectrum internet subscriber.
Security Shield (CUJO AI) is blocking my domain as suspicious. This is
a false positive.

comfiqmfg.com is the legitimate Shopify storefront for ComfIQ Manufacturing, a DBA of Quality Components Plus, Inc.


It has been live for several months. No malware, no phishing, no adult
content. Valid HTTPS provisioned by Shopify. A record points to
23.227.38.65.

Symptoms: Chrome returns ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, Firefox returns
SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG. The site loads normally on mobile data
and on non-Spectrum networks. A colleague on a different ISP has no
issue.

Isolation testing: connecting to 23.227.38.65 port 443 over IPv4 with
SNI set to a myshopify.com hostname completes a full TLS 1.3 handshake
and returns a valid certificate. Connecting to the same IP, same port,
same protocol, with SNI set to comfiqmfg.com fails after 5 bytes with
a record layer error. The only variable changed was the hostname.

My Security Shield event log lists comfiqmfg.com as blocked on DATE.
Disabling Security Shield restored access immediately with no other
change.

I attempted to file through the official unblock form at
spectrum.net/support/internet/how-unblock-website-security-shield.
The form returns "It looks like something went wrong. Please try
again." on every submission, including with all fields cleared, in two
different browsers. I was unable to submit through the official
channel.

Request: please remove comfiqmfg.com from the Security Shield block
list and recategorize it as a legitimate business and shopping site.
Happy to verify domain ownership.

    You can submit a Website Block Verification to have your website and URL reviewed (this is a direct link), please be aware it can take up to 5 business days for a response.

    Spectrum users have the option to disable Security Shield, however it is also recommended that you contact your webhost to ensure there are no additional security risks blocking access.

    @James_M take a look at the screenshot I attached showing that Spectrum kicks an error message when I attempt to submit the Website Block Verification.

    I tried 3 times on 3 browsers. All kicked errors. This was BEFORE posting to the forum.

    I disabled the Security Shield and the URL loaded just fine.

    I submitted through the official unblock form on 8/19/2026 around 3:30pm EST. The notes field rejected all content, so the request was submitted with the domain only and no supporting detail. No confirmation number was provided. The evidence for that request is in this post.
