Security Shield False Positive
(Disclaimer- written by AI. Every words backed up by myself, Emily, just didnt write it) Hi — I own tpv.capital (Thompson Peak Ventures, a venture capital firm in Scottsdale, AZ). Security Shield is blocking my domain as suspicious, and I'd like to request recategorization.
Symptom
On Spectrum, fails to load in Chrome with ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. Earlier attempts returned a Security Shield block page. The identical request from a phone hotspot on a non-Spectrum connection loads the site instantly and correctly.
Evidence the site itself is healthy
- DNS resolves correctly to 75.2.60.5, Netlify's apex load balancer. Nameservers are GoDaddy's (ns33/ns34.domaincontrol.com). Verified identical from both Google (8.8.8.8) and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) resolvers.
- From outside the Spectrum network, returns 200 OK with a valid certificate and correct HSTS headers. The http-to-https and www-to-apex redirects all function normally.
- On the Spectrum connection, TLS to Netlify's IP 75.2.60.5 completes successfully — the browser receives a valid certificate and warns only about hostname mismatch, exactly as expected. Other Netlify-hosted sites load normally on the same connection.
- The connection fails only when the hostname tpv.capital appears in the TLS SNI field. That is a hostname-level filtering signature, not a server-side or certificate fault.
- Chrome returns a TLS error rather than a Safe Browsing interstitial, so Google Safe Browsing is not flagging this domain.
Likely cause
tpv.capital is a recently registered .capital domain with financial-services content hosted on Netlify. That combination is routinely auto-flagged by reputation feeds as possible financial phishing. This is a false positive. The site is a static informational page for a venture capital firm — there are no login forms, no payment collection, and no user data capture of any kind.
Request
Please recategorize tpv.capital and www.tpv.capital as Business / Finance and clear the suspicious classification from the Security Shield feed. I have also submitted the domain through the Website Block Verification form.

P.S.: Who knows for how long or consequential it may be that there are manifold, supposedly authoritative, security hawks that have your website down for phishing and/or as malicious : 🔗 🙀

Security Shield is on the Spectrum WiFi router a real troublemaker. In my case, it effectively enabled AP Isolation because it blocked any direct access between devices on my WiFi network. For example, I could not print from my wireless desktop to wireless printer. Nor did the smart apps on my phone connect to my smart TV. I was also not able to directly ping any devices on my network.
I turned it off and "AP Isolation" was disabled. And my network has been healthy for the past 3 days.0
