Intermittent Internet / Possible Damage to Outside Cable Drop

My Spectrum 500 Mbps internet has become extremely unstable. Speeds that used to be ~400 Mbps over Wi-Fi are now fluctuating from 10–150 Mbps. Google Home measured 540 Mbps directly at the router earlier today, but after rebooting the modem, two different routers with different Ethernet cables had difficulty obtaining/maintaining an internet connection.

I've already rebooted the modem/router multiple times and changed Ethernet cables.

Also important: the aerial Spectrum coax drop from the alley to our house has a neighbor's tree growing into it and vines on the cable.

Could someone please check the modem's signal levels/SNR/errors and schedule an onsite technician to inspect the outside drop and connections?

Good morning @jjuntunen13. Welcome to our community. We are sorry that you are having these issues with the internet connection. I have reviewed the account and there are some timeouts happening, this will require a technician visit. I have scheduled a visit for Monday, August 31, 2026, 12:00 - 1:00 PM CDT. If this does not work for you, you can manage this appointment in our My spectrum app.
