I still can't cast from my cell or laptop to tv? Is spectrum still working on this? I spent an hour on phone with a great tech but no the results

From cell tv app to tv. Also from laptop to tv. Just switch to all spectrum. 1 hr before switching I was on verizon internet with spectrum receiver and it worked. Now with all new spectrum and xumo box it doesn't work. When I push icon on cell tv app it says cast.disconnected?

Thank you. I was able to locate your account using your community registration and it looks like the agent you spoke with earlier determined that it was possible that the Xumo box wasn't working correctly and scheduled a technician visit to look into things further. If the technician tomorrow isn't able to resolve the issue for you, definitely let us know.

Could be a sort of stalled socket situation. Miracast used to get brain cramps like that. Easiest way to remedy it was to power cycle things—phone/tablet/laptop and the router/modem.

Tech said call samsung its not spectrum, samsung made all the adjustments and it did not help. They said its the app amd I agree

Things could be experiencing a desync, which will cause the casting to not know how to react properly to the request via the laptop/phone. With the presented issue, had any power cycling or other troubleshooting steps been taken with the devices involved in this behavior?

Shut everything now but on? Tech checked everything. Can't cast from phone to tv or laptop to yv? Was able to do with verizon. When I use the spectrum tv app and hit the case icon it says cast.disconnect. can I turn ot on?

Call samsung they walked me through chances to make? It didn't help they its the app being cell and top affect. I agree being it worked with verizon

Thank you for keeping us posted on this. Have you attempted to reset the internet equipment yet? This can be done by unplugging the cable line, power line, and removing the battery backup if you have one for both the modem and the router for a solid 3-5 minutes. Are you able to try this and let us know?

Yes I tried this and nothng changed. The tv app still says cast.disconnected when I push the cast icon. Is it possible that insignia tv and spectrum wifi are not compatible and that is why is worked on verizon wifi with spectrum tv box? I do appreciate all the help? Its a shame I counted on using the app. I would have never changed

I can enable mirroring on tv and it allows me to smart view to my tv, but casting from s23 spectrum tv app doesn't work

Are you logged into the same streaming app on the set top box? For example, YouTube on the streaming box AND on your phone or laptop. When you have signed into both of them, YouTube on the phone will show it's casting icon when it finds and links to YouTube on the streaming box. If that is working, then you may need a similar app or plug-in enabled for the Xumo box that pairs properly with your other devices.

P.S.: I doubt if any cable or satellite TV redistributor MVPD apps support Miracast casting even if that doesn't stop any kind of at-large app-agnostic mirroring but that's just me. I'm an unfrozen caveman.

I have no problem mirroring? I can't cast from s23 on spectrum tv app to tv.

Have you flushed caches, reset, or at least verified security?
Since you changed the network, some stale links or security rules may still be in play leading to screwy cache hits and redirects. That is why the full power down of devices can fix some things—it forces ARP cache flushes and such so new path discovery for port forwarding may take place, new/refreshed logins to generate new tokens, etc. Sometimes you need to actively unlink/logout of services and devices, then reconnect again. YouTube has been bad about that in the past, as well as services like DirectTV/ATT, Hulu, ESPN, etc..

II think the conclusion is I was able to cast from cell utube to tv. The problem is that spectrum tv app is not compatible with insignia tv. That is why it work with verizon. If I knew that I would not have switched

Casting to Fire OS can be somewhat limiting... Miracast, Matter Cast, maybe Air Play?. Basically, likely a 3rd party situation.
Thought Spectrum finally got their app natively on Fire OS though... unless maybe you need a newer OS version? If there, should be able to stream directly.
