How can I copy movies from my Spectrum 200 DVR to another device?

I have some children's movies that will probably never be broadcast on TV again. Now the Spectrum tech tells me movies cannot be copied or moved. When you turn the box back in, everything is erased! Maybe there is a backdoor hack that I can use ... I am not going to sell them, just save them for when my grandkids are a little older.

Thank you kindly

    Hi @TheNewAlchemist!

I'm sorry, but unfortunately that would not be possible. Content recorded on a DVR can only be viewed back on that DVR and is not intended for long term storage. You might check if the movies are available for purchase or contact the network that aired them to see if they can make them available to you.
