Why am I unable to add or delete roadrunner sub user accounts?

Ever since Spectrum took over RoadRunner from Time-Warner, I have been unable to add or delete roadrunner email sub user accounts. This used to take less than a minute. Now the function is basically dead and has been for years. What's going on?

    Hello @tourists

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues trying to delete email sub accounts, I am happy to help!

    1. Use the Primary account email address and password to log into Subscriber Self-Care.
    2. Click the People tab.
    3. Open the menu to the right of the sub-account to be deleted and select Delete.

I've been trying that for years (literally!) and it doesn't work. Always worked with Time-Werner, nerver with Spectrum.

Sorry to hear that hasn't worked for you. What browser are you using?

Thanks for the responses. I was able to locate your account using your registration information. You are currently using a Legacy TWC Roadrunner email ("**@**.rr.com"). You currently have 5 mailboxes associated and that is the maximum allowed for a legacy account, which is why you are unable to add users.

Email is a free service associated with an active internet connection. Access to your rr.com email will continue as long as the associated internet account remains active. However, some of the tools that were associated with rr.com mailboxes have been decommissioned. You are still able to change passwords. At this time, we recommend forwarding or saving any important emails and contacts to different email or third party email server in the event that the email becomes inaccessible.

Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

James, are you saying that going forward the ability to add or delete sub accounts is essentially obsolete and that I'm locked into the existing sub accounts? Are there plans to eliminate rr.com email altogether at some future time?

You are unable to add accounts because you are at the maximum allowed number of email accounts. If you wanted to add a different account, you would need to first delete one of the existing accounts. The account would be in a status of "Pending Delete" for up to thirty days, once the pending delete completes, you will be able to add a new email.

Since the tools to manage rr.com emails have been decommissioned, we are unable to retrieve or fix emails deleted in error and we are also unable to expedite the deletion process.

    Hello,

Due to the age of Road Runner email, a courtesy service left over from the legacy Time Warner days, I strongly encourage Spectrum users to use a back up webmail account for better security and two-way authorization options, which Road Runner does not have. Yahoo Mail, Gmail, and Outlook.com will provide better and more modern security than Road Runner. Use a strong ad blocker on each browser to stop banner ads and tracking in Webmail. I recommend Ghostery for ad blocking and browser tracking protection.
