Spectrum TV (worst app ever) is not casting - Roku

Spectrum TV app is the worst app ever. One day it stopped casting to a Roku device. The Roku recognizes the iPhone (iOS16) but the Spectrum (v9.32) will not stream. The iPhone will mirror but it will not cast. The Roku app updates daily. Among other attempts the devices were un-paired and re-paired. The Roku displays a message "connected to iPhone" but Spectrum will not cast. Spectrum tech assistance says they do not troubleshoot Roku and does not accept the problem is Spectrum The worst app ever and even worse company.

    Welcome to the Community Forums. The most common cause to casting issues is related to the WIFI network. Both devices need to be using the same WIFI network to connect to each other. Most routers have 2 separate WIFI networks connected. There is a 2.4 G and a 5 G WIFI network. Your devices may connect to one of the other depending on many factors. To ensure that the casting works correctly then you need to force them to use the same one. Some devices can only use the 2.4 G WIFI network and you may need to force the iPhone to connect to that network.
