No Trickplay video preview shown while FF or RWD when watching DVR recordings

in Spectrum TV App Feedback - ROKU and Other devices

I'm using the Roku Ultra with the Spectrum TV App. During fast forwarding or rewinding of Live TV or On Demand programming, the video preview using the Trickplay image or thumbnail is displayed to allow for tracking of the video content.

This feature is not present when watching recorded content from the cloud DVR. Why Not?

This is when this feature would be used most often.

It would be very help to have the same preview thumbnails available as it is shown for live or on demand content.

This feature works on the Xumo platform using the Spectrum App. So, it would appear that this function is possible.

Is this a bug which should be addressed, or a feature which can be added? Can this request be forwarded to tech support for inclusion into the next update?

    Just an update to my previous post… Has anyone at Spectrum looked into this request to have the trick play or preview thumbnails added to the ff or rwd features on the Roku versions of the Spectrum TV app?

    This feature is present on the Xumo version

    I'm wondering if this is being considered or addressed?

    I gather that you've opened two discussions on this topic and that your feedback from the first was passed along to the developers a week before you opened this discussion, and i believe that you'll be hard-pressed to get any big-time app developers to divulge their plans any time sooner than when the rubber meets the road. In the meantime, be patient and feel free to share whether you at least have time-based trick mode as in time duration/progress display in lieu of scene-based, if you've a mind to.
