How does Spectrum handle tree limbs on cable lines?

After a storm came through, a small tree is now leaning on my cable line (not the electric line), so the local energy provider may not take it down. (I've put in a request, so we'll see.) Can Spectrum take it down or contract someone to take it down? Does Spectrum fulfill any tree or vegetation trimming requests, like most energy providers? If so, what department can I call to discuss this issue? Or is it safe for us to attempt to cut it down, if the energy provider doesn't? Or do we need to wait until the line breaks to have them come repair it? Please advise.

    Hi @hdeifell -

We do not do tree maintenance. Tree maintenance is the responsibility of the property owner if the local utility company does not address the issue (usually only if the lines are on shared poles).

If your service is impacted, let us know. We will happily replace or reroute Spectrum service lines.
