LEGACY EMAIL KNOWN ISSUE


There is a known issue accessing legacy email accounts on email clients, including Microsoft platforms
Our engineers are aware and working on a fix, there is currently no ETA for the issue to be resolved
No additional examples are needed and there is no need to create a new post
Legacy email users can access email by logging in to your Spectrum account at:
spectrum.net

Is there a way to prevent accidental TV addon purchases?

in Spectrum TV App Feedback - ROKU and Other devices

This morning, an unexpected $10 sports addon to current TV plan was added from Roku TV's Spectrum Roku app. None of the family members claimed this happening. Had to call Spectrum to remove it quickly. Agent said the purchase would have had a confirmation, but it was never known. I know old TCL HDTV's Spectrum app is very slow and maybe something glitched? If there is no option, then please add one to avoid this accident.

    Hello, Melissa. It's not morning for me since it's 11:38 PM PDT. :) Thank you for e-mailing me, but where is the option to enable parental PIN for purchases in Spectrum's Roku app? Your links didn't mention Roku.

    I looked around. I do see that purchase PIN option for physical ODN cable TV boxes and https://watch.spectrum.net, but I could not find it in Apple TV, Roku, and iPhone apps. Where are they? Also, how come I can't set the purchase PIN for all TV devices instead of having to do this on each one?

    You would set this up via watch.spectrum.net

    1. While connected to your Spectrum in-home Wi-Fi, log into watch.spectrum.net with your primary Spectrum Username.
    2. Click Settings along the top right side.
    3. Click Purchase PIN along the left side. 
    4. Turn the Purchase PIN on by clicking the OFF/ON toggle switch.

    Katrina_L, thanks. I already did that. Also, how would I change its default PIN? Does this also affect the online Spectrum' s apps for iPhone's iOS, Roku, AppleTV, etc.?

    I found Purchase PIN option in Spectrum's Roku app, but it didn't let me set a new PIN due to its "Could not update the PIN. Please try again." error message when using enable PIN. I had to set a PIN in its other PIN option after entering the master Spectrum account password! Spectrum's Roku app should had said that earlier. Please improve this design, Charter.

    Now, I need to figure how to enable this PIN purchase in AppleTV 4K's tvOS and iPhone's iOS apps since I don't see that option like Roku, https://watch.spectrum.net, and physical cable TV boxes. Why does Spectrum make this hard and tedious to do each device's platforms to enable purchase PIN feature?

    Also, I suspect this accidental purchase was from the fullscreen NFL RedZone offer I saw when I launched Spectrum's TV apps in all devices and https://watch.spectrum.net web site.
