Since my last Spectrum App update, my last channel viewed is not working at all

Chet, I suspect it was all part of moving the guide to the right and implementing changes incrementally so as not to have the guide down entirely and it didn't go as smoothly as planned. If they had just posted such a notice, ie " under construction". we wouldn't have been so inconvenienced.
