Similar to a closed post from May 2024, using a Roku Ultra, 1GBPS fiber service, as an On Demand movie get's closer to the end, more and more often, it falls out of sync, voice with picture. Using the Spectrum app on the Roku. Apparently this issue still isn't resolved. Bad enough there are too many commercials on On Demand. A bandaid to the issue is exiting the movie and then resuming sometimes fixes it until the next commercial.

Still in 2025 lol. I searched back to 2022 and it’s been going on a long time. On Demand on Spectrum is a joke. Roku blames Spectrum and Spectrum blames Roku. I can get On Demand to work correctly when I’m using the “old” cable box but the streaming app sucks

    Sometimes,

There are those third party devices that from time to time don't play nicely with Spectrum. I would recommend either getting a traditional Spectrum box or Spectrum DVR, or XUMO box from Spectrum if you want to pay a bit lesser box fees. Rent your XUMO box from Spectrum if you get a XUMO box, don't buy one.

In these situations, you keep your Spectrum things all Spectrum, and there's no one else to blame. It's also insurance from Spectrum that if anything goes wrong with Spectrum equipment, it's insurance that Spectrum can take care of the issues with and on their own equipment. I have never had a syncing problem with On Demand, and I have had cable since 1985.

I don't see any issues in my bandwidth William where an Ookla test on my laptop from 25 ft away is showing wireless 1 GBS speed and 8 ping. The Network,, About on the Ultra however shows about 200 mbps, in spite of rebooting it and refreshing the network connection. And it's closer to the router than my laptop. Although the Ultra is at least 6 years old version now. All other apps native to the Roku, Max, Netflix, Prime etc work with zero issues concerning sync. I can also tell Spectrum app, when launched, takes 4 times longer to load than all the other apps.

Catchtwentytwo: I don't see the settings described for video sync adjustment in the app nor on the device itself.

Satch. I do have a Xumo and you are probably right that it would probably work better with that. As a consolation. I was simply trying to use my Roku as "one stop shopping", without having to pull out, yet, another remote to do other things. I can't see I've compared the results as of yet.

Catchtwentytwo: Ok. I got found that setting for audio delay in the app. I ran the process. Not sure if that will solve the Roku/Spectrum issue, regardless, I wasn't having any sync issues with any other apps so again, it seems very specific to Spectrum and On Demand. If I use Spectrum app to watch live shows, there is no issue. I suspect On Demand is simply using a different process with stored content that can be more challenging.
