Xumo box shuts off every 4 hours. Network stanby mode is off, Sleep timer is off, and overnight power saver is off. The Xumo is hard wired and no connectivity issues. It is very anoying and may cause me to get rid of this Xumo box.

No solution for it as of yet. It's not affiliated with wifi connectivity. It's a factory setting within the xumo itself.

Just hooked up my new box and it is doing the same thing.

Adding my comments to the list in the hopes Spectrum and/or Xumo May take notice - same issues - network solid, Xumo config set to maintain connectivity and not shut down. It still does after about 4 hours..

I am having the same issue but now the Xumo box want even come on. Unplug it and plug it back in comes to the home screen and crashes. Replacing a cable box for my 89 year old mother, so she can us the voice command, which works great. But she likes to have it on all night, can't have it shutting off all the time and her calling me to me fix it everytime. Spectrum fix this.

I'd like to jump on this as well

I received a XUMO box when it first launched and had the same issue, worked with Spectrum with limited support, was escalated to XUMO 2nd tier support and they said they left their box on for over 5 hrs and did not turn off

Since I received the box from Spectrum, I had it replaced and the same issue exists. after TV/box being on for "x" number of hours its shuts off. As stated in this thread I saw the message once in the upper left corner to press any button to keep box out of standby

I too watch the TV at night or come and go with it on, XUMO/Spectrum needs to address this issue if not let us know as I will return the box and go with another streaming device as it is not working as intended

I have tried master reset (the little button on front of box under the LED) per XUMO support, if this is a factory reset then why does it still hold my wi-fi logon credentials. It is a soft reset. I have also tried a hardwired cable to my router, no change, even direct to router to rule mine out, no change.

I can provide Spectrum my chat with XUMO, as they own the platform

It need to be resolved, I am concerned that Spectrum believes this is a limited issue. You need to merge "all" the discussions about this subject and the audience grows

    looking for your input/support

Turning in my box and changing to another system. Since I got xumo I have had nothing but problems. have spoken to numerous Tech Support and even had a Tech Support. Come to my house but nothing could be resolved. Not only does my tumo box cut off after 4 hours. I have to reboot my xumo box every time to watch programs that I have recorded. Before launching a new product they need to resolve some of the issues.

I'm a new Spectrum customer forced to leave the comforts of Comcast since I moved to a city Comcast doesn't service. I'm soooo missing Comcast since Xumo doesn't offer some of the nice features that Comcast does, like a back button or info button when viewing guide [only after clicking on program can you get info about it]. And my latest problem with Spectrum is if I'm on the same channel for 2 or more hours, it shuts itself off!!! I'm obviously not alone with that issue. I agree its a Xumo software glitch!! I'm so missing Comcast more and more!!!

I just had a XUMO box installed on a tv in a bedroom. My wife likes to have the tv on all night. The XUMO box shuts off all by itself after 2 or three hours. I have tried to shut off the sleep timer, Network Standby and overnight power saver - NOTHING IN THE SETTINGS WORKS to resolve this issue. After reading through this very long list of disgruntled customers if is very obvious that there is a software glitch with this product. Spectrum and XUMO need to resolve the issue. Please post when the Software Fix will be available for Download.

This needs to change. Pretty sure I should decide when to turn off my TV.

We have our Xumo on Music Choice while we are doing other things around the house , no sleep mode, and after several hours the Xumo powers down leaving a message on the screen of "no signal from HDMI1". This happens predictably and is not a random occurrence.

This isnt a "small affected few" problem. Its a programming problem. Ive turnded everything off, reset modem. Does not resolve issue. All your troubleshooting is ineffective. I leave my TV on for my Aussie when I need to leave him home. Its awful coming back home to it being off. And to add salt to the wound, the deflecting by Spectrum, which by the way takes time away from your limited free time day.

So same thing is happening to me all my timers are off but yet all night long I’m waking up and my xumo and tv are both off so frustrating thankfully they didn’t charge me for equipment bc I would have already taken it back but it most definitely needs to be fixed immediately

Just to get myself on the list, I have 2 Zumo boxes and have this problem with both. Both are wired to the network. Good solid internet connection. I can put up with a lot, but now my wife isn't happy. Any sentence that begins with "but you told me" isn't a good sign. Let's get this fixed, please.

I was having the same issues with my XUMO TV connected to my 5G internet. I switched to the 2.4 signal and the problem seems to have resolved itself. We have 17 devices connecting to our 5G so I'm wondering if its network congestion, not sure. Our 2.4 signal only has 2 devices connected, Ring doorbell and wireless printer.

Just purchased 2 Xumo boxes and they just randomly powe off. Tried all troubleshooting suggestions posted. Still fails. I purchased these to replace Roku boxes. Looks like it was a mistake. I guess I have to switch back to the old Roku's. The Xumos should not have been released until they were thoroughly tested

    Bad for business.

Same shuts off after a few hours I like it better than ROKU but this has got to go, the shutting off on its own. Having to turn off then back on. One WiFi and One Hardwired both do same thing.

Well I suspect that Zumo entirely designed the box, & just came to an agreement with Spectrum. They provide the boxes and allow the spectrum app & give it top priority.

If that's the case, Spectrum probably can't tell us anything. They're just along for the ride with us.

We have been having this problem with both of our Xumo devices. One is hard wired the other is not. It seems like Spectrum eventually wants to get away from cable boxes and have people use Xumo. I really think they need to fix this bug first.

This is very annoying and why I might return this box. Nobody should have to touch the remote to keep it from going into standby or sleep mode. I never used to turn off my cable boxes as I wanted instant access to TV. This must be fixed!!!

This auto shut off is a real issue you need to fix!

Same problem with 3 Xumos. The remote is bad enough so, at least, fix this problem. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps listed here.

Ok really is time for Spectrum or Xumo to fix this issue, mine is same as every one else’s, solid network, hardwired to Xumo box and yet box shuts down.

I just switched to spectrum from Verizon not even 2 weeks yet and the xumo box is giving me problems. I see that most if not all of us is having the same issue. The xumo box shuts off by itself after about 2 hours. I have ALL the settings switched to "off" and it still does it.
